    i liked the “geography” joke but the timing was off and i think thats why it wasnt well recieved….timing is everything

    You’re obviously smart (well read and articulate). If I could give you any advice I’d say:

    1) contrast your jokes by dum’ing down your punch lines a little, this way people have to do less thinking to get it. (again you’re smart so you’ve got to slow it down for your audience.

    2) Act out a little more (facial expressions, body movement, etc.)

    3) Practice your material on all types of people (young old, black white, smart stupid, silly serious)

    Be encouraged, it takes real guts to do this.

    He had okay material. But his delivery definitely needs work. He used very little emotion and had a kind of fakeness and lack of confidence about him. Stuttering in comedy is a no no.
